Glenda Love is a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years
of experience serving diverse populations across nonprofit, community based, and healthcare
settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Gerontology from
Aurora University and is deeply committed to fostering holistic well-being and advancing
equitable access to mental health care.
Glenda specializes in trauma informed, integrative psychotherapy and systems focused support
for individuals and programs working with high complexity populations. Her clinical expertise
includes stabilization focused care, caregiver stress, serious mental illness, supporting
individuals experiencing burnout and compassion fatigue and supporting clients navigating
intersecting systems such as healthcare, housing, education, and community-based services.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Trauma-Informed Care and integrates Supportive
Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a Systems Oriented/Ecological Approach. This approach meets clients where they are, reduces
destabilization, and supports both clinical progress and system engagement, particularly for
clients who historically fall through the cracks of traditional treatment models.
Glenda creates a safe, collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to build
emotional regulation skills, strengthen resilience, and improve day-to-day functioning while
navigating real-world stressors. She consistently centers clients’ strengths, lived experiences, and cultural context, balancing therapeutic processing with practical problem-solving and goal-
oriented support. Glenda helps clients establish healthy boundaries, develop sustainable self-care practices, and reconnect with their sense of purpose to prevent long-term emotional exhaustion.
Outside of her professional work, Glenda values balance and restoration through movement,
music, and time in nature. Whether exercising, listening to Beyoncé or a favorite podcast, or
enjoying quiet moments near the water, she practices the same self care principles she
encourages in her clients.
Glenda currently offers video therapy sessions.
